Manaslu Circuit Trek

Duration: 19 Days

The Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of the best, if not the best trek in all of Nepal. Many guides deem it as their number one favorite trek, which ought to tell you something. It has the charming hillside villages and cultural wonder, sweeping mountain views and an unforgettable high pass. The 19-day package is for lovers of adventure and Himalaya-philes. If you identify with either of those, take on this rugged trail and have the time of your life! Many people compare it to the Annapurna Circuit Trek, often listed among the top trails in the world, but without the crowds and luxuries of the popular Annapurna region.

The epic journey circumnavigates the peak of Manaslu (8156 meters), the 8th tallest peak in the world. Your jaw will drop at the splendor of this mountain wonderland. Traverse the long, steep ridges and glacial valleys that drop from this glorious mountain.

The trail starts in Arughat and continues along the banks of the pristine Budhi Gandaki River, which guides us up and north for much of the trek. Trek through verdant forests, teeming with life. It is a pleasant feeling to know that other animals, like birds and langurs, are sharing the forest with us. From Namrung, the scenery and culture starts to shift. We enter the upper Nupri area, where people are ethnically Tibetan, and have a much different way of life than those in the lowlands. They follow Tibetan Buddhism. Their chortens and gompas add a pleasant spiritual ambience to the trail.

On Day 14, we ascend the Larkya La Pass at 5100 meters. It is a day that you will never forget. We get an early start to make sure we get the best views and clearest skies. Depending on the time of the year, the pass is typically covered in snow, adding a whole new level of adventure. Become awe-struck by the expansive view of Himalayan peaks. Take some photos to try and remember this moment, while also remaining in the present. The view is unfathomable, you must see it for yourself!

After the pass, we descend for several days through gorges, forests, and villages to Dharapani. The beauty never ceases of this wonderful trek. By the end of the Manaslu Circuit Trek, you might already be planning your next Himalayan adventure! Cool down after the trek with some relaxation time in Kathmandu. Book the Manaslu Circuit Trek today!

Take the Manaslu Circuit Trek all throughout the year. Though the trek is available anytime, certain seasons provide the best weather. In the springtime (March to May), the rhododendrons are blooming and scenery is lush. During autumn (September to November), skies are clearest and mountain views are best. Summer (rainy season) and winter do not provide the best trekking conditions, but on the other hand, you can enjoy more solitude on the trail. If you have any questions, please contact us!
